Professor Malcolm Peaker FRS is Director of the Hannah Research Institute in Ayr, Scotland and Hannah Professor in the University of Glasgow. The Institute is an internationally recognised centre for scientific excellence. He is a leading world expert in the endocrinology of the mammary gland and has wide interests in reproductive endocrinology, food products, nutrition, and the application of biotechnology for improvements in animal production. The Royal Society of Edinburgh and the Royal Society have acknowledged his achievement by awarding him the Fellowships FRSE and FRS. Professor Peaker is a PhD graduate of the University of Hong Kong’s Department of Zoology and serves as external examiner for programmes in the Department.
In recognition of his services to the advancement of science and technology, the University has resolved to confer upon him the degree of Doctor of Science honoris causa.
