Dexter MAN Hung Cho

Doctor of Social Sciences
honoris causa

Mr Dexter Man Hung Cho is a senior engineering graduate of the University of Hong Kong in 1940 and has ever since been a staunch supporter of his alma mater and its Alumni Association. He was instrumental in securing the Hong Kong University Alumni Association’s permanent clubhouse premises and in co-ordinating and establishing overseas alumni chapters. He is an Honorary University Fellow and, to mark his generous contributions to the University, the new building housing the Institute of Molecular Biology was named after him last year. He has taken the lead in the campaign to rebuild the student residence, Morrison Hall, with a HK$10 million donation.

In recognition of his services to the University of Hong Kong and its alumni network, the University has resolved to confer upon him the degree of Doctor of Social Sciences honoris causa.
