The Hon Michael Graham Ruddock Sandberg has been Treasurer of the University of Hong Kong since 1977. He has been a member of the Executive Council since 1978.
His public service includes the chairmanship of the Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club and the presidency of the Society for the Relief of Disabled Children. He is a trustee of the Croucher Foundation.
He has chaired the Hong Kong Export Credit Insurance Corporation Advisory Board, the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children, the Hong Kong Industrial Estates Steering Group and Provisional Authority, and has been President of the Community Chest.
In recognition of his contribution, the University has resolved to confer upon him the degree of Doctor of Laws honoris causa.
