Typical 1H MR spectra obtained on each side of the visual cortex in rats at 3 weeks after right ME. Note the lower Tau signal in the left visual cortex (contralateral to enucleated eye). Spectra similar to that shown for the right visual cortex were observed for normal intact animals.
