Honorary University Fellows

An excerpt from the Vice-Chancellor's Address delivered at the Honorary University Fellowships Presentation Ceremony on December 10, 1996:

Mrs Mary Rodrigues, group staff manager of Swire Properties Ltd who, as Chairman of the University’s Convocation since 1993, has been an inspiring and able leader in the work of Convocation, especially in the networking of the University’s graduates. The whole climate of graduate activities has blossomed over the past 3 years with the launch of innovative networking projects, such as the HKU credit card and Home Purchase Loan Scheme, the revival of the Convocation Poll and a myriad of other ventures ranging from Sports Tournaments to luncheon talks and Fun Fiestas.
