Honorary University Fellows

An excerpt from the Vice-Chancellor's Address delivered at the Honorary University Fellowships Presentation Ceremony on December 10, 1996:

Mr Robert Tam Yik Fong, a distinguished senior alumnus of ours who graduated from the University in 1930. He has remained one of our most dedicated supporters, morally and materially, and has always given unstintingly of his time and effort out of genuine concern and love for his alma mater. The University’s staff quarters complexes on Sha Wan Drive are named after his family as the Tam Towers and Tam Villas, in appreciation of his generous benefactions to the University since 1984. He is also a Founding Honorary Director of the HKU Foundation.
