The University of Hong Kong will be conferring honorary degrees upon three outstanding individuals at the 207th Congregation to be held on November 2 this year.
Honorary Degrees are awarded to individuals in recognition of their distinguished service and commitment to the University, the community, and to academia. They are also conferred to those who have made valuable intellectual, social and cultural contributions to society and the world.
The recipients of the honorary degrees are:
Presided by the Pro-Chancellor, Dr the Honourable Sir David LI Kwok Po, the Congregation will be held on November 2, 2022 (Wednesday) at 5:30pm in Loke Yew Hall.
Dr Colin LAM will deliver the acceptance speech on behalf of the honorary graduates at the end of the Congregation. Professor YANG Chen Ning is unable to attend the ceremony and will be conferred in absentia.
