Dear Graduands of the Class of 2022,

When it was announced earlier that two Congregations would be held each year as from 2022, the format of the summer sessions in this July was yet to be confirmed subject to the pandemic situation. It is of course understood that you have been looking forward to celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime graduation ceremony in person with your classmates, family and friends.

Now that the pandemic has eased in Hong Kong, the University decides to hold face-to-face Congregation sessions in July as scheduled in the Grand Hall of the University. The schedules of the forthcoming 206th Congregation have been announced on the website https://www4.hku.hk/congreg/faculty. Graduands will receive notification from their respective Faculties regarding the Congregation arrangements soon.

As all Faculty sessions of Congregation are to be held on campus, attendees must observe the infection control measures in force and the Vaccine Pass policy of the University. In the event of worsening in the pandemic situation to the extent that mass gathering is no longer allowed, the University will have no alternative but to make appropriate adjustments and switch to online Congregation.

Please bookmark the Congregation website (https://www4.hku.hk/congreg/) and visit it regularly for essential information, including the schedules of the Faculty sessions, links to the Faculty Congregation websites, loan of academic dress, collection of certificates etc. Online booking of academic dress will commence in mid-June and more details on the arrangement will be provided in due course.
