So Long…Haking Wong Stairs!
The Haking Wong Stairs have long been one of the most recognisable landmarks on campus and have served staff and generations of students for over 20 years, but because of the construction of MTR West Island Line, were demolished in early July.
A temporary footbridge has been built by MTR Corporation for access to G/F of the Haking Wong Building, and will remain in place until the railway comes into operation in 2014, when it will be replaced by a footbridge between the future tower structure and the ground floor.
