Honorary Degrees Congregation

The University of Hong Kong conferred honorary degrees upon seven distinguished individuals, namely Professor Steven CHU, Dr Jack DANGERMOND, Professor John L HENNESSY, Professor YANG Chen Ning, Professor Dame Carol M BLACK, Dr Colin LAM Ko Yin and Ms Brigitte LIN Ching Hsia at the 209th Congregation on April 3, 2023 in Loke Yew Hall, Main Building, HKU. Professor YANG Chen Ning was unable to attend the ceremony and was conferred in absentia. The conferment of Doctor of Social Sciences honoris causa on Mr Daniel YU was held earlier in February 2023.
