Dear Colleagues, HKU is pleased to have staff members whose many years of dedication, commitment and loyalty to the University have earned our respect. The University will hold a “Long Service Awards Celebration” on Thursday, June 9, 2022 in Loke Yew Hall to pay tribute to their contributions. There are a total of 229 colleagues receiving the 15, 25, 35, 40 and 45 years’ Long Service Award this year. You will likely find some of your colleagues and friends on the list of awardees attached and I’m sure you’ll want to congratulate them on this special occasion. Special arrangements for this year’s ceremony Please note that in light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation and in accordance with recommendations on social distancing and group gatherings, there will be a change from the usual award presentation format. We will hold a photo session for the awardees, SMT members, Faculty Deans and Secretaries and head of offices present at the event. Award recipients will be invited to come in prescheduled timeslots to collect their awards and have their photos taken. We very much regret that it will not be possible to invite others to celebrate with the awardees in Loke Yew Hall as has been the case in previous years. We nevertheless hope that colleagues will be able to celebrate with the awardees separately, perhaps with photo sessions around campus, especially since it is currently decorated to mark the University’s 111th anniversary. 各位同事： 長期服務獎是大學的年度盛事。港大有幸多年來得到眾多盡責盡心的人員同行，他們滿懷熱誠為大學作出貢獻，赢得大家愛戴。 鑑於疫情關係，大學須考慮社交距離措施以及群組聚集的建議，因此，今年將會以部門拍攝活動，取代過往的頒獎禮。 屆時，得獎者將按指定時段前來會場，領取獎項，並與大學主管人員及相關部門主管拍照。由於典禮將以不同形式進行，恕未能如往年一樣，邀請同事們到陸佑堂向得獎者祝賀。適逢港大111周年校慶，校園四周均設有不同的佈置，同事們可各自與得獎者慶祝，及拍攝留念。 謝謝大家一直以來對活動的支持。如有查詢，請聯絡本處鍾小姐（電話：2219-4892/ 電郵：queenie6@hku.hk） |
