The University Street – Connecting the Campuses

The University Street (U-Street) is a two-level pedestrian walkway that will link the Main Campus with the Centennial Campus when it opens in 2012. Starting in the Centennial Campus and ending in the area between the Library and Hui Oi Chow Building, the Street will also transform the Haking Wong open podium into the ‘green artery’ between the campuses.

Besides the construction of a pedestrian walkway, the project includes the re-provisioning of the Union restaurant (completed), renovation of the Students’ Union, and building a pedestrian link between Hui Oi Chow Science Building and the library.

As the Street is being built within the existing campus, we apologise for the inconvenience caused to colleagues and students during this construction period.

Technology Innovation and Incubation Building(TIIB) will be demolished in this summer, and will become part of the U-Street.
