CAS Delegation visits the Space Research Laboratory (9)

Prof. Xue Suijian, Deputy Director General of the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Prof. Liu Xiaoqun, Director of Chinese Academy of Sciences Head Office of Lunar Exploration Program visited the Laboratory for Space Research and had good discussions on research collaborations with LSR members on 20 March 2017.

The Laboratory with mission to promote research and teaching in space science in Hong Kong was formed in 2016 with initial funding from the University Development Fund. Having a long term goal to make HKU a leading centre for space science research in Asia, LSR covers a number of research areas namely astrobiology, astrochemistry, geobiology, Earth remote sensing, Mars and planetary science. LSR also got active engagements in a number of NASA and ESA missions, and collaborators from Australia, China, Europe, Japan and USA. You may visit the website lisited above for more information.
